About SRSOD

It all started when…

In January 2000, in a local community hall, Suzie started offering dance classes to interested kids from Berwick and surrounds. The school grew quickly and in 2006 Suzie brought in her sister, Julie, as a business partner and the school moved to a purpose built factory in Enterprise Avenue, Berwick. Since then we have expanded and our business premises boasts state of the art dance studios and features including 3 dance studios with sprung wooden floors and mirrors, offices, waiting and lounge areas and extensive costume storage.

SRSOD, as we are now affectionately known by, has become a well known dance institution in Berwick. We are essentially still a family run business and we are proud to offer our students traditional and current styles of dance in a friendly environment.

Students have the option to do examination classes through CSTD in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Theatrical studies. We also offer a large range of general classes to keep our students stimulated. We do two whole school performances per year. Our Mid Year concerts are a fabulous display and chance for all of our students to perform on stage. Our End of Year Concerts are a professional production and our costumes are well regarded by all who attend. Students also have the option to perform throughout the year at various events.

SRSOD is proud that many of their students have gone on to further dance study at the Australian Ballet School, The Victorian College of the Arts, Macdonald College in Sydney, The Space, Ministry of Dance and Transit Dance to name a few. Our students show diversity and a good knowledge of technique. These qualities have also seen many ex-students become excellent dance teachers who continue to inspire students at our school and many others.

SRSOD is more than just a dance school, it's another family for the kids that attend and those friendships will last a lifetime.
